Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Just paid $187 for a diagnosis I didn't want. Brought the car in to get a replacement water pump under warranty with napa. Already had a diagnosis from another shop the problem was the water pump. Hi-tech insisted on doing their own diagnostic and told me that it would be covered if it was the water pump. Never told me how much it would cost. After a couple hours they tell me it's not the water pump, it's the thermostat and we now have to pay almost $200 for thier diagnostic, and if we want them to fix it that'll be almost $600 more. I feel completely scammed. Taking it to another shop (that will cost less than half the price) to see if thier diagnosis was even correct. Eta: Now they're lying. I was told a diagnosis was required. I was NEVER told the price was $80 an hour. I would've never agreed to that and just take my car to another shop to begin with.

After calling a couple of places with either no answer or no availability, I called Hi-Tech. The friendly guy that answered said to come on down. I brought it in shortly after lunch and had my car back before I was ready to go home! Super fast, super friendly! Will definitely be back!

Let’s disregard the fact that the work they did didn’t even repair my cars brake issues but they also: •had me sit in the lobby for over 5 hours with no Wi-Fi despite telling me I could work from the lobby on the phone prior to making the appointment - you only get 30 minutes of Wi-Fi after you enter your information in, but I was very clear I needed to be able to work during the day while I waited for my only means of transportation to be repaired •appt was supposed to take 3 hours so I was late to an appointment and had to cancel last minute and was charged as a result, costing me more money •told me me car didn’t have a proportioning valve when I asked if they checked it, and then tried to gaslight me that he didn’t say that - he meant to say there was no “external” proportioning value. He literally told me my car didn’t have one, that instead “that’s what the ABS system does.” •tried to charge me 170$ for a diagnostic when I had already had two done at other places who came to the same conclusion about the repairs •told me my brakes would fail if I drove away because the back brakes weren’t getting hydraulic pressure (the front brakes do most of the braking) •finally, they charged me for work they admitted didn’t repair the issue •now they are saying I’m “seeing the issue wrong” because I’ve complained here rather than explain why they lied to me about my own vehicles parts and tried to charge me for a diagnostic when they also told me it was “definitely that the ABS line had a leak” after telling me the repair they made didn’t work. How’s you determine that without the 170$ diagnostic, friend? I came here because I was looking around for the best price and instead I got swindled for 725$. I like to support small shops because my dad had one for many years, but this is exactly why they have the reputations they do. Go ANYWHERE ELSE!!

Christina, you drove into the shop with a low brake pedal. You stated that the Ford dealership and Meineke had done the diagnostic and concluded that the master cylinder needed to be replaced. So we went ahead and did the work you requested and that is what you paid for the work you requested. After that did not take care of your issue we offered to do our diagnostic which you declined. After installing the master cylinder that you requested. The tech saw the problem still existed he came to the conclusion the ABS pump valve assembly may need to be replaced FYI the wifi needs you to input your information before using it for security. Very fair pricing. My normal independent shop couldn't get correct parts except from the dealer, so I looked around, and Hi-Tech was recommended for my older Mercedes E350 work. Shop is not fancy, but they do excellent work. Highly recommended!
